Cataracts

Cataracts And Vitamin C

Cataracts are reducing the eyesight to a blur for some people.
My mom has gone through some difficulties with cataracts.

A nutritionist and optimalogist, Dr. Lane, in the late 1980's
stated that a dificiency of Vitamin C is linked to cataracts.

He suggested between 500 and 1000 milligrams of vitamin C would
be well advised for most people fighting cataracts. If you also
have floaters, you may need to take 1500 milligrams.

It is good to do this under the supervision of someone who can
work with your nutrition as a whole, as too much vitamin c can
cause diarrhea and interfere with how the body uses calcium,
chromium and copper.

I would suggest a vitamin c that contained bioflavenoids to aid
in keeping you healthy, as well as minimizing the cataracts.
