Healthy Eating As Prices Go Up?

As food prices continue to go up, how can
you continue to eat good nutritious food?
Healthy Eating is important, so let's go
over some ways.

Eat before you shop. Many people who are
hungry when shopping end up getting more
food than they have on their list or
started out to get. They then end up
not getting some of the things they need,
as the money just doesn't go far enough.

Write a list up. Figure out your meals and
see what you need before you leave home.
Shop for healthy, nutritious food when
you get to the store.

Use coupons. Sadly, there are not as many
coupons available to use at the grocery
store for healthy food, or organic food.
But there is some. Look in your paper, and
any magazines you get ahead of time.

Often you will find a coupon but don't need
it at that time. Hang on to it, those things
may go on sale in a few weeks, then you will
have a coupon ready. Again, concentrate on the
healthier foods to try out or get again.

Can you get a larger size of some things and
then break it up into serving sizes? These
can be frozen, or the bag closed and stored
in an appropriate place on your shelf or in
the fridge.

Give up a some of your not so good snack
foods and that will give you some change
to put towards the fruits and vegetables
you need to stay healthy.

Eat vegetarian style a few meals a week, if
you are not. Have beans and lentils.They are
inexpensive, but good for you. They provide
fiber and some protein.

Continue to eat the most healthy nutritious foods
you can. Your food, when nutritious, is your
building blocks for a healthy body in the future,
so don't skimp.
