3 Tips For Constipation

3 Tips For Constipation

Constipation is a condition that many people have, but no one talks about. Before you reach for the laxitive, look at why you may have this condition:

A lack of water may contribute to this. Your body needs fluids, especially water to help process and moisten your food. If you do not drink enough water your fecal matter becomes dry and is hard to move along the bowel. Make sure that you are drinking enough water. I suggest drinking one quart of water for every 50 pounds of weight. Most people do not get this much water.

Fiber: are you eating enough vegetables? Do you eat fruit? You need 7 to 10 half cup servings. This provides plenty of fiber.

Exercise. Even if it is walking. Exercise helps the bowels keep healthy. Many times when constipated, a good walk will help get things going.

Of course there are other causes of constipation, but this covers the majority of things to work on to clear constipation in the future.
