Low Metabolism? Start Exercising
A study conducted by the Mayo Clinic found that obese people have a low NonExercise Activity Thermogenesis . On average, they spend two-and-a-half-hours more in a chair than their leaner peers and end up burning 350 fewer calories a day. And it appears they do not move around as much because of their low metabolism according to Dr. James Levine, a Mayo Clinic endocrinologist who led the study.
In the second phase of the study, the lean people were overfed by 1,000 calories a day to make them gain weight, while the fatter people were underfed by 1,000 daily calories. Even when they lost weight, the naturally obese moved less.
If this applies to you, I know how frustrating it can be. I have a slow metabolism as well. My suggestion, is that if you have a slow metabolism to choose one of the Diet Fitness and Exercise ebooks I offer and assist your body in increasing your metabolism.
